My name is Anne Korfmacher (she/her) and I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of English Studies at University of Graz, Austria. My current project explores resilience in anglophone fiction from the nineteenth century to the present.
I hold a PhD in English Philology from the University of Cologne (summa cum laude). In my PhD, I investigated three fan podcast genres (rewatch/reread, recap and review podcasts) through a new formalist methodology (see here for more information). The book based on my research was published with Routledge in 2024 and is called Fan Podcasts: Rewatch, Recap, Review.
