My name is Anne Korfmacher (she/her) and I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of English Studies at University of Graz, Austria. My current project explores resilience in prose fiction from the nineteenth century through the concept of the elastic mind (see here for more information).
I hold a PhD in English Philology from the University of Cologne (summa cum laude) and have previously worked in science management at Forschungszentrum Jülich. In my PhD, I investigated three fan podcast genres (rewatch/reread, recap and review podcasts) through a new formalist methodology (see here for more information). The book based on my research was published with Routledge in 2024 and is called Fan Podcasts: Rewatch, Recap, Review.
